Brrr, Swimming on New Year’s, Monument Beach, Bourne, MA
I got great shots and video of the annual Mo Beach polar swim, in its 20th year, and benefiting the Bourne Friends Food Pantry. This is a big event, with sometimes more than 250 participants and as many as 600 cheering supporters (complete with traffic control, ambulances, and a well-crafted parking plan). Last year $11,000 was raised, and this year’s funds will probably get them to over $100,000 since the first swim twenty years ago. Lots of spirit (and maybe lots of spirits, too) here! Look and listen to these hearty souls!

A Doggie Thanksgiving…
The turkey drippings were irresistible to my newest granddog, Shep. And he is irresistible to all of us. The turkey, perhaps the tastiest ever, was a distant second to Shep’s frolics. The chickens could have cared less. Where’s OUR dinner?
