In this season of decorating delight, here are 12 days of home staging for the season, one each day. You’ll see I love lots of natural elements, and like to layer textures, shapes, and materials. Or just highlight a gorgeous amaryllis glowing with the warmth of the late afternoon sun. Enjoy this most lovely time of year!
61 degrees on sunny Cape Cod!
Get out the t-shirts and shorts, lunch at the beach! (Even if this is the calm before the next storm.)
Spicy Southwestern Chicken Soup
This is very spicy, good for blasting out head colds, flus and anything else that might be ailing you! I’m heading out soon to do some Good Samaritan deliveries. (If you prefer less heat, reduce chili powder and/or add a dollop of sour cream or yogurt.) Here is a link to the recipe.
Favorite Frigid Temps Strategy
During the memorable winter of 2015, I developed a few key ways to cope with the cold and snow that seemed endless, and one was to make some kind of soup every day. This was a quickie I put together today with sautéed chicken tenderloins, leftover risotto, kale and turkey broth. Tomorrow I’m doing spicy southwestern chicken and barley. Will share!
Time for Pond Hockey!
Find the skates, sticks and pucks in the back of the closet, clear off the snow from the nearest cranberry bog, and make the most of the arctic temps!
