After a long period of negotiations, the Brookside Homeowners’ Association and Northland are close to agreeing on a settlement. Trustees have sent the proposed agreement to homeowners. The terms are that:

• Northland accepts back the title to the land that has the closed stump dump.
• Northland will be allowed to build an additional six units on Springbrook Court after completing several conditions, such as installing a gas mitigation system between the former stump dump and the Springbrook units, and fulfilling other safety and environmental conditions.
• Northland must install environmental monitoring equipment in the Springbrook Court units.
• Upon the sale of the Springbrook units, the Trust will receive a monetary payment.
• The Trust will take possession of the office and maintenance building on Amberwood Court.
• The Trustees agree not to interfere with the sale of the two existing units or the six additional units that may be built on Springbrook Court.
