Brookside Annual Meeting
Waiting in line to check in at annual meeting. Didn’t quite make a quorum, so residents will be emailed to vote for open seat on Board. Consensus was that The Dartmouth Group did a good job in their first meeting as new property manager. The news? Fees going up 5% to cover increased expenses. This is common in all condo associations. The Board and manager are in constant dialogue with vendors to keep expenses in check. The community is well-run, and looks beautiful.

Boston Magazine’s Design Home 2016 at The Pinehills was a totally fun “busman’s holiday”! (You’d think I see enough houses, right?) Designed by Polhemus Savery DaSilva and furnished by Ethan Allen, Room and Board, and Setting the Space, it’s a treat to see and experience, even for me, Ms. Fussy. Go! The $25 admission benefits Boston Children’s Hospital. See the latest in snazzy design and make a worthwhile charitable donation at the same time!
Lazy Sundaes
Get it while you can! $5 quarts of delectable Richardson’s ice cream until they run out! Lazy Sundaes is next to The Daily Brew in Cataumet. I got Blueberry Pie, delish! Of course, I also got Choc Chip Fro Yo, Peach, and good old French Vanilla. It’s easier to decide on a house than so many enticing flavors…
Running The Main Street Mile
Joined about 180 others yesterday for the Main Street Mile in Falmouth, from The Quarterdeck, down Shore St. to the Beach House at Surf Drive. Such a family-friendly race! I definitely saw three year olds, and possibly some twos. For me it was a chance to run a race again, which I haven’t done since the Falmouth Road Race four years ago. Thanks to the Falmouth Track Club for organizing such a fun event!
